FS: 2005 STi
I have a 2005 CGM STi with ~40,500 miles on it for sale. It has a stage 3 Cobb built shortblock with their stage 1 heads. Protune done by Scott Siegel at TopSpeed.
Priced at $23,500, negotiable.
Mods:
Exhaust/Intake:
TurboXS 4" Bellmouth Downpipe, 3" race pipe or cat, 3" midpipe, GMS thermal coated axleback.
APS 65mm CAI
Maddad Velocity v2 headers, ported and coated
APS turbo inlet
APS 50/50 BOV
APS STi Tumbler Valve Delete
Cooling:
APS 525 FMIC
Perrin radiator shroud
Samco radiator hoses
Rad/oil caps and Cusco catch can
Cusco front mount intercooler spray
Turbo:
Blouch dom2.5r "polka pickle" with 8^cm hotside and 3" inlet (coated)
Internal Wastegate
Prodrive 3-port boost control
Suspension:
Stock struts with STI pink springs
Tein F/R strut tower bars
Hotchkis F/R sways and endlinks
Cusco motor/tranny mounts
SPT short shifter
Fuel:
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
DeatshWerks 850cc Side-Feed injectors
APS Fuel rails
Engine:
Cobb tuner stage 3 shortblock:
- Billet Steel (4340) I-beam "Long" Connecting Rods
- Forged Aluminum "3D Chamber Matched" Pistons (8.5:1 CR, customizable)
- Heavy-Duty Chromoly Piston Pins
- Low Friction Piston Rings
- Billet Steel Crankshaft (79mm Stroke)
- Computerized Balance of rotating assembly
Cobb stage 1 heads
SMC meth injection (tuned for 75% meth, 25% water) with spec C 12L intercooler spray tank holding meth. I never ran this, disabled as soon as I bought it.
Exedy twin disc carbon clutch with exedy lightweight flywheel
Perrin lightweight crank pulley
Other:
Defi Boost/EGT/Oil Pressure gauges and control unit.
Blitz FATT
Cobb AP v2
Hawk brake pads with goodwrench stainless steel brake lines
Clifford 50.5X security with 2 remotes
Upper rear vane spoiler
Optima redtop battery
Bridgestone re050s, maybe 50% life left (prev owner had them on) on stock gold BBS wheels
Had a compression test done before I brought it over, 140psi across each cylinder. Changed plugs with NGK iridium one step colder, managed to break a clip on a coil pack so I replaced all 4. Oil was changed about 300 miles ago with Amsoil 5w40 european blend.
I'll add more if I notice I forgot something.
The bad:
Shipping company managed to tear the front bumper cover off, damaging the clips on the driver and passenger side and cracking the JDM v-limited lip in 2 places. They also dinged the doors in a couple places.
I'm in the process of getting money from them to get this repaired at Oka's body shop. Side note: Brandon is a pretty awesome guy.
The tunes are for 93 octane. Threw it on a dyno before I shipped it over here, had to pull 3 degrees of global timing for crappy 7-11 91 octane (all I could find). Was planning to throw it on one here to see how much less to pull on 92. I hear the 92 here is actually pretty close to 93 stateside, any truth to that?
Title is clean and clear. Passed Safety and all that.
If there are any questions at all, just ask.
Not in a huge hurry to sell it. I'm getting married soon and decided that the money I spend on the car would be better spent on college/wedding/moving/housing costs once that happens.
Open for trades for 98-01 2.5RSs in good condition in particular (cash on your end). Anything else, just offer. Worst I'll do is say no thanks. Not too interested in trucks or SUVs, though.

I'll get updated pictures of the damage from shipping soon, and I'll most likely drop by the next meet too.

More pictures, some showing the shipping damage (bumper, lip, drivers side wheel...not sure how they managed that one..). Sorry it's dirty, haven't gotten a chance to wash it since it got off the boat.

Would you be interested in an even trade? 2004 PSM Forester XT (almost bone stock) and 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa (lightly modded)? I'll provide more info if you're interested.
