Oh and I don't know about dropping that MR. Those shocks are setup pretty specifically and if you just throw springs on it you will mess up your useable stroke and suspension travel. If anything, you'll have to go coilovers which is even more overkill for a non-racing car.
I like it though

Awesome wheels. Too bad your car has 5 feet worth of wheel gap. LMAO. j/k! I agree with fran on the Nittos, but maybe the 275 section width will make it up. Nice look none the less.

This is no different from the guy that mods his/her engine and does nothing race related with the car, other than to say hey I dyno'd at XXXhp. (if this statement applies to anyone here than take it with a grain of salt. its your money do what you like with it. this is just my opinion.) Personally I will end up doing some road courses with the car when and if Hawaii ever gets a track or if I ever get re-assigned to the mainland.
As for the springs you are correct as far changing strut travel with a different spring. I can only think of one setup that actually complemented the stock struts and that is when I changed my stock springs on my 05 STI to JDM pinks.

On top of that if you wanna talk about specifics when it come to tire width/any type of susp. mod here in hawaii anyone can agree that more traction/handling here with all of these idiot drivers can make a difference.
Also i know that his wife plans on going back to maui with us again (sorry jess you ain't gonna be here for this one) and is gonna run her car on the 1/4th track and at auto-x on maui on the 7acre course.

I used to get caught up in what other people do or not do with their cars. But eventually at the end of the day, it's not my car and people can do what they want with their own cars.
I can say that all my parts are actually used in race conditions and I have the results and pictures to prove it.
Personally, I want to be the better DRIVER in a race than the driver that has the better car.
Shaggy, the track is actually close to 9 acres.

I agree that it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks as long as you are happy. If you don't plan on racing the car, so what? I think the problem lies in the s*** talking people do when they have put $ in the car they own and can't use what they have to save their lives. You made it clear that you did what you did for you, and that's all that matters. I think it looks awesome. I have f'in Federal tires on Prodrive rims on my STi when I use them on the street. I know its sad, but its what I could afford.
