XXR rims

Any one know anything about XXRs? Im thinking about getting these for the STI.
XXR® 006 Wheels - Black with Blue Anodized Lip Rims

Im also thinking about putting 10s on it but ive never had anything over a 9 on my wheels, so anyone know what kind of off set i need for that to fit.

XXRs are the trashiest trash that ever trashed. They are made of butter disguised as aluminum. Every single person I have met in person who has had a set has had to repair at least one wheel. I even won money making a random bet at the last shop I worked at that a car being pulled in would have at least one damaged wheel. It had 2. This is one of those cases where you really do get what you pay for. The least expensive wheels I would recommend would probably be Rotas.

10" wheels do not belong on Subarus. If you want something that will fit and work very well try to limit yourself to 8-8.5" wheels in the mid to upper +40s offset range. You can fit the correct size tires, it won't hurt performance, and your car won't look straight out of a Tijuana chop shop.

Ok thanks. Ill keep searching then. My other choice for rims are the TSW Nurburgring 18s in bronze, but i kind of like a lip on the rim so Im not sure what to get.

What about Koing rims? I found a set i like but i know dick about them.

To be honest you'll find more guys on here that prefer function over form, so if your going for wide, stretched, and stanced, wrongfitmentcrew.com they've done almost everything I can think of, but that's Jus me .

Haha, maybe not on yours, but if OP wants to get down, do your thing. It's not an easy fitment, but can and has been done . Go with what fits your budget and your needs. Personally I don't have any first hand experience with XXR's, but they're cheap enough and readily available so that if you do damage one, they're replaceable. It's not going to cost you $700 for one wheel and it won't take 4 months to come in. I've been through a few sets of Rota's and have been pretty happy with the quality, price, and the service Wheel Dude gave me. In the end, do what you like

^^^ yup thats right..... in the end do what you want. You dont want to end up thinking what if. If you want to go with 10's go for it. Depending how low you wanna go, you will be doing a lot of fender work. But it will fit. As for XXR rims, I did not have a single problem with them.

OP, you should try them out, if you dont like them, just resell or trade, dont let other peoples responses stop you from picking up a set of affordable wheels. GL with finding some wheels man.

I personally don't like that model rim, but I'm on xxrs and haven't had a problem. A lot of people are just brand snobs and base their judgments on what others have to say on the internet.

Or I haven't lied at all about my 1st and 2nd hand experiences and XXRs really are that problematic..... which is the case. Why would a brand snob recommend Rotas?

Yeah the xxrs are cheap and i like the blue lip because it goes with the black and blue interior which would look sick. I could powder coat a set with a lip and get the same effect but that would cost more. My issue right now is I like the xxrs and the site sells tires as well, but the tires i know i want on the car they dont sell on the site. The site that sells the tires i want doesnt sell the rims...FAIL.
