just change it yourself.... those type of recalls are smokescreens for subaru to keep tabs on your car...for marketing purposes... and other types of shady practices as well.. only in soa.. not here fortunately........ at least that's my take on the whole thing. it's just the conspiracist in me.

Well, one good thing might come out of this. I was talking to Brawn and Brandon(before he got a diff job. Better pay too.) seems SOH is heading out the door and SOA might step in due to ****ty business practices and plain old lying.

Anyone care to help give some insight to an honest individual on the seat bolt recall? I remember something about someone's seat just falling backwards totally when he was driving. But otherwise I have no idea on what's involved.

But crappy thing is, I got my car from "Schuman Subaru", then 2 weeks later, my salesman quit, pretty much a "you're on your own". I've never brought the car in for warrenty purposes, nor got any mail from Subaru.

If this is a simple fix, like buying a new bolt, i'd feel safer if I can just go swap em out myself before my fat *** topples backwards in my seat.

hahah..

well regarding recall issues.

I've got everyone one done to my car that has ever been sent to me.

The bolt one is very simple and doesn't take long.

They basically take off the plastic piece that goes around the seat back adjuster lever (held on by clips)

and replaces the bolt with a new one (gold color) with red thread locker on it.

after they are done they put the plastic piece back and your out of there after they put the champaign sticker on your car

Thumbs up

Hmm.. Much thanks, greatly appreciated.

Soo pretty much, it's a matter of making sure the bolt is tight, and stays tight.

Thanks again.
