Working on the RSTi again!!
I have finally mustered the motivation to start working on my RSTi again. All this is in preparation for rotating the intake manifold and installing a FMIC.
Weight loss and clearing space for the fmic and piping.

Clearing a path for the cold pipe, by relocating the alternator in preperation for rotating the intake manifold.
Before

After

Stay tuned I'll be rotating the intake manifold next.

This is coming along nicely.. Thank goodness I didn't have to do any trimming to my phenolic spacers.
Jess, any advantages to rotating the throttle body? I'm guessing in your case to free up space to run your vac/fuel lines??

I only have to trim the spacers because of the alternator relocation mount. As for rotating the TB no performance benefits, it's done to clear the alternator and for wiring and vacuum lines. I may rotate it back to the stock position if it doesn't interfere with anything.

Trimmed the phelonic spacer tonight. I also cleaned off all the old gasket that was on the mounting surface. I'll go and pick up some fuel lines tomorrow and start rerouting the fuel lines to the drivers side of the manifold.

I thought there is a benefit about rotating the manifold.
If you have a front intercooler its much shorter for air to travel and cooler air gets in faster.
I might be wrong cause I was thinking about doing this also but for my NA motor
Good job in your project man. Wish I could do the same with mine especially the rust!
