While I was sitting down with Dave 'the controller' at Schuman yesterday, he looked up the current rates.

USAA=5.9 for 60 months
PENFED=3.9 for 60 months

Your decision, but my feeling is that an extra 2 points is cause for no longer being loyal. Also, I get the feeling that PENFED is a lot more liberal in ok'ing car loans (new and used).

Like I said, it couldn't hurt to give them a call.

well, I just called them, .... and they cater to Army and Air Force primarily, ... but I can join, but I have to become a member of the 'family blah blah blah' first for $20, ... and then I could apply for the loan.
I don't know if I want to spend $30 yet, not even knowing if I'll qualify for the 3.9%, ...... and I'm already approved with usaa, ...... uhhgg, .... i dunno

 

I brought your offer to the manager and he threw me out of the office.
I checked the trade-in price on that car.
I think we steped on our d i c k s on the trade go figure(shrug).
Means we paid to much for the car (over wholesale book) just to make a deal, there are several cars like that here.

I suggest the following wait a little longer.
