Thumbs up who wants to make a couple grand with me?

k, heres the deal. i found a 02 wrx thats selling for 10,500. k, kbb private party valuse it at 19 something in excellent condition, 18 something in good condition and 17 something in fair condition. here are the specs

02 silver wrx
auto
7k miles
both fenders are dented
scratches
mirrors are gone
engine runs strong

catch, its salvage title cuz it got stolen. no frame damage. can easily reverse the title.

k, i dont think i can get a loan simply cuz im in debt with cc bills. i need someone to perhaps be a partner in this and co sign with me. then we take care of the title and sell it. how does that sound? we can sell it for what, 15k? 16k? still big profit.
any feedback is welcome.

Where is the car at? Can we go look at it or what... So I'd have to come up with just over $5k?

car is located in the windward side. yes, we can go to take a look at it. i just have to make arrangments with the owner. the 5k part, no. i dont have cash to put up right now so i was thinking more towards getting a loan between me and whoever else is interested. fix it up and sell it within a month.

I wouldn't mind going and looking at it not sure if I can get the money either but can't hurt to check. I have somebody that could do the body work for cheap.

do you know how the title thing would work out? i mean, i asked the owner and he said that i would have to go to the previous insurance company and do some paper work. i mean, there is NO structural frame damage so i dont see how they wouldnt be able to take it off as a salvage title.

Once you have a title labeled as Salvage, you are pretty much screwed. I doubt that it would even be worth it.

yeah, its possible to convert back to a non-salvage title once whatever needs to be fixed is fixed. in this case, not much needs to be done.

**** I would buy that and use it as a daily driver. When you thinking of buying this thing? I might be able to spare the cash to buy it is a few weeks.

yep. very true. you guys should be thankful for that law because if not- dealerships would be washing titles all the time. also keep in mind that if you sell a car that has had a salvaged title- if the buyer decides to do a carfax(and if it shows up) will you disclose that to the buyer? legally speaking you don't have to like a dealership does... salvaged titles are a pain in the butt. plus if i'm not mistaken most banks will not finance a car on a salvaged title... unless its a personal loan, not a car loan.

first off you can't get a loan for a salvage title car. and yes salvage titles can't be converted back to clean if there was a way everyone would be doing it.you can get it ceritified but on the title it will still say salavage title. but with a salvage title you could probably sell it for 16g's or so but the person that buys can get a loan.
