I've worked on 2 cars this month with bent valves...don't let yours be the next.
Save yourself thousands; replace your timing belt before it's too late.

105k isn't a magic number. A timing belt could last way longer than that, or a lot less. One of the broken ones that I just repaired was 76k on an 02 wrx. However it had a VF34, so the extra torque and age probably had something to do with it.

If your timing belt is more than 7-8 years old...it should be replaced.

I can get parts, or I can make a specific list for a person depending on what they want to do and their budget.

replace just the belt,
replace the belt and pulleys
replace the belt, pulleys, and tensioner
replace the belt, pulleys, tensioner, and water pump
replace the belt, pulleys, tensioner, water pump, and cam seals

Yeah I am right about to run into 105K so am planning to do mine in late-Feb. / early-March.

add on:
replace the belt, pulleys, tensioner, water pump, crankshaft seal and cam seals

While you're in there, might as well change out the crankshaft seal as well.
