any local shop who carry bungs to tap a egt gauge? i went to exhaust hawaii system and said they didn't carry any but have threaded o2 sensor bungs.

 

I'm guessing your EGT is a 1/8" NPT. You can get a welder to build up the area you want and then drill and tap it for the probe.

to Hydra-Air by the Airport. They have any fitting you want, hoses, etc. Most of the speed shops go there.

thanks guys, I ask roland at esh to build up area on the headers with welds to create a bung but he wounldn't do it because it will create blob and may cause leak. what about vakomon motorsports do they carry bungs and can they weld it?

 

I done mine at Ted's Machine Shop. They welded it on crooked and almost punched a hole in the wrong spot before I stopped the guy. Looked like the welder was new to the shop at the time. He may have gotten better by now.
