"The owner of I-club" is a company, I believely a publicly traded company at that.

It's not just i-Club but pretty much any forums on the net today. I think the only way this could be avoided is if we started a "Premium" membership option where you pay yearly for access and you get some perks, including limited or no banner ads. However, knowing how people on this forum like to go cheap for pretty much anything, I highly doubt members would pay for such a thing (although I would).
