Will,
What's up! I'll lend a helping hand if I can!
Setting the MBC is half the fun of putting it on. Ask Wes.
re: getting stuff from CA. You don't know anybody that has any spare rebuild parts for a VF30 lying around do you?

PT full boost problem is the main reason I don't have a MBC yet, I'm a real retard when it comes to " safe " boost, how would I use my boost gauge to gauge " safeness " ie, what range of boost is okay under light throttle ?
The same reason I yanked my MBC early on. Without an EGT gauge I was not comfortable with PT full boost even with a Unichip. I think the Vishnu EMI Adapter is suppose to help quite a bit in that area. I didn't have my EMI Adapter long enough to try it with the MBC.
Another cool option I saw was an MBC that you could switch on or off. Factory boost for normal driving and MBC when you need to power.

well, I just kinda figure, If I'm at 'half throttle', I'd make sure I was around 'half' of what boost I was running (15psi).
It's Easy. If you're going uphill, or under load, and you're getting 'too much boost' for the throttle position you're at, ... Downshift. That should help you out fine.
I had an autometer air/fuel gauge (which is simple and cheap to install), that I could at least tell if I was running lean during those times. That's about the Only reason I had that.
And like Tim mentioned, the EMI Adapter is a Good fix for it too, just a bit more $.
