Hey guys i bought a used 2002 blue wrx from infinty of honolulu about 8 weeks ago. I love this car and it isn't stock. So i was wondering if anybody out there know who the previous owner was and if any one knows whats been done to the car. I know it has a down pipe and sti exhaust and it is droped running on the stock wheels. Oh yeah and found out it has a reflased ecu. Any info would be really appreciated

I know what's in there. Why? Because I test drove the shtuff out of it (sorry man, the dealer said I could...he told me to drop clutch at 4K SORRY )!
Ha ha funny story. I went to test that blue one and liked it so much. However, in the end I took my silver one because it was more stock and I didn't like the idea of taking a beat down car...if you know what I mean.
It's still solid though. From what I remember you have:
1. STi Short Throw shifter
2. Grounding Kit
3. STi upgraded suspension pieces with drop...I think it was just the factory option one that's orange and only comes with shocks, control arms and springs.
4. Downpipe like you wrote
5. STi overpriced axle back exhaust
6. Those mesh fog covers
7. STi radiator cap...unless someone at the dealer took it off for one of his friends.
8. Oh and one of the sides is messed up from a paint standpoint.
Actually, pretty much everything on your car is stuff that you can get optional from the dealership. Check the SOA website and do a build and price and you'll see your parts in the optional accessories category. The other reason I didn't buy your car was that I didn't like that they were charging $2K more for it because of those parts. I figured that I'd go save the $2K and buy better stuff for less from the aftermarket (our cars were in same condition but yours had that paint damage to the side). Although everytime I drove by that lot I kept seeing your car and wished that I'd have gotten it because your car performed better than mine in the test drives.

I feel bad now!
But how did I know that 4K clutch drops would be bad? At the time, I was a suby newby and knew squat about the weakness of the tranny. My last performance car was a Camaro for pete's sake. He should be fine though...2 clutch drops at 4K won't kill the car. However, I don't know what the other guys that test drove it did.
Well, that's what we get for buying used
