The white one is still at the body shop. Pat and I saw it today.

What I still can't believe they want $35000+ for one and tonight they had 10 EVO VIII's on the lot and wouldn't play ball.

Once when I went to pickup my wrx from waipahu schuman's service department, Braun, the service manager let me get the car instead if him driving it. It was my first time there, so I tried driving in the back to find a place to turn around. After snooping around to find a place to turn around, I spotted a white Evo 8 under a covered stall.

HMM.... I wonder if this was this evo that was crashed? It looked fine from the outside. Maybe they brought it there to get some body work done. Btw, it was behind Waipahu Schuman Subaru, a little to the right side of the service center after you drive back there. Man, it would suck if they sold this car to someone without telling them, and to find out later the hard way ..

Yup, that's the infamous 'wrecked 3 times' Evo.

We were there yesterday and that's what Sub-sonic told us.

Lemon laws would easily prevent them from getting stuck with that wrecked car. You cannot sell a car that has been wrecked without telling the buyer about the wreck. A dealership would be shut down for something like that.

When I was working in the biz a new car dealership did NOT have to disclose an accident in which the damage was <$500.

Wow. They're selling Evo's here for MSRP... or less I guess the market just isn't that big up here in the great white north. STi's are all at MSRP, though. I guess since Subaru is associated with AWD, people don't have to be drawn in by discounts.

BTW, I test drove a Forester XT (5MT) a few weeks ago. Very nice. From what I can tell, you can drop a WRX suspension in there with very little effort... makes me wonder.
