What part do I need?!

nooob questions.. but I got my intercooler and it's missing this piece. I know what it looks like but not sure what it's called.

I need one asap so I can start my VF48 install

maybe one of you have one laying around??? or have a link to one to puchase online. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Greg, not to pry or anything, but are you sure you're up to the task of this install?

Greg,
If you can't find someone with a spare bypass lying around you can always purchase a fully recirculating one like the ones sold by Perrin:

or since you are replacing the intercooler, you can remove your stock and put it in. I'm not sure if it works, but it should.

I think the Forester and the Legacy use the same intercooler. It is different from the one used on the impreza. Wrong bolt spacing/

Thanks... It was a "duhrrr" moment thow me an a vw shop and your safe. Open a Subie bay and I'm lookn for the manual.

Would there be a benefit going with the STI bpv over the xt part? I was able to source the sti part locally.
