What is the meaning of Christmas to you?

Let's hear it... If you give gifts on Christmas, why do you give them?

Unfrtunately... Christmas hasn't been one of my favorite holidays in many years due to bad personal experiences during this time of the year. I still try to keep things positive though.

I think a lot of people get caught in the retail aspect of Christmas. I am guilty of this and I generally spend quite a bit of money on the people that mean the most to me. I know the monetary aspect of it isn't important and it's the thought that counts but money isn't an issue when it comes to loved ones and those that are important in your life.

The gifts I give completely come from the heart and I spend a lot of time and though on each one. If the item that is perfect for that person costs several hundred and I can get the money it's as good as gifted.

Jon

the dictionaries should add another definition of Christmas: an increase in debt and financial suffering, in return from spreading the spirit of the holidays.

j/k jon.

for me, Christmas is returning the favor of good for my bad-doing (i.e. buying car parts behind my wife's back).

I'm sorry you have to wait til Xmas to make rounds with naughty girls . You should at least be quarterly . Your comment made my day though, thanks.

Nev, looks like my contract is up unfortunately so I'm free pretty much whenever. Just give me a call and schedule something.

Word, well it doesn't hurt to take a break, and some time for oneself, that's for sure. Re-coop!

as a kid - the magical day when Santa comes and gives you gifts for you being good.

now as an adult - another way for the media and marketing to scam the US into spending tons of money on someone they care about for something they dont really need.

on a positive note, there is nothing like the look on my nephews face when he opens a really cool present though. The smile and laughter make it all worth it.
