Well here's my 3 best 1/4 mile runs.........
60ft / 1/4 ET / MPH
1) 1.960 / 13.861 / 97.58
2) 1.910 / 13.875 / 96.61
3) 1.946 / 13.893 / 95.92
What do think I'll run with better 60ft times?

We were talking about you last night at Zippy's.
I believe that the consensus was 13.6, or at least knocking at 13.6's door like Ed is.
I still can't figure your numbers out. Do you know that my time was with a 1.893? That must be good proof that you're turning some more ponies than I am.
I doubt that there's anyway my wife's going to trick me into not going to the track tonight. I'm turning that boost controller up a little bit more. I've got at least another 1/2 lb in her before I should worry. Nice to have the ability to see knock.

Also, I did those runs at a lower boost, between 13.5 and 14.0 psi. I'd like to figure out a higher boost setting for the SBC-iD,
I'd like to see what I'd run at 16.0 psi!

here's my best from last night.
1.863 60 ft
13.707 et
97.19 mph
this was done with mike's wheels and tires. still spinning quite a bit off the line though.
i'm getting frustrasted with my times cause i'm sure my car can go quicker, at least a tenth or so but it's probably the driver. suck!
i need NOS. and lots of it!

In the front too? I thought only the STi came with the Front LSD...
I didn't see anything about the front....
The only reason I'm talking about a front diff is because I've seen a lot of pics with smoke coming off one front tire only when a WRX launches. That tells me two things:
Open front carrier
Center diff has a significant time delay before transfering sufficient power to the rear to prevent enough front wheel spin for a smoking front tire. A front LSD should have both fronts pulling which should minimize the amount of tire spin on the line, giving stronger launches and shorter 60' times.
Are we on the same page or were you talking about the rear all along?
Full-time AWD system automatically distributes power between front and rear wheels based on traction needs. Manual transmission models have a viscous-coupling locking center differential. Automatic transmission models have Variable Torque Distribution (VTD). VTD utilizes a planetary center differential in conjunction with an electronically managed continuously variable transfer clutch. WRX models have a viscous limited-slip rear differential.

wrong page
and ALL the tires spin! ask Ed what his car looked like when I drove it!

but yeah, a front lsd would help with wheel spin somewhat
But right now, my philosophy is:
Wheelspin on launch = No broken Tranny or Diff

gain 13
gave me= 16.5
Still playing with it...
a setting of 55-65 should take you into the boost cut off range but I could be wrong
