O-2E Army. 19A - Armor Officer

When I lived in Hawaii I was enlisted. I was a SSG/E-6 type 98GKP. That is a cryptologic linguist with Korean as a language. I went to OCS when I left Hawaii in 2003 and am now at Fort Carson working with the 2-9 Cav Squadron. 9th Cav is one of the Buffalo Soldier Regiments.

We are preparing to deploy immediately after Thanksgiving to Iraq. I currently am working in the S2 (Staff section relating to Intelligence) and will branch transfer back to Military Intelligence as soon as I can.

O-4 in the Navy, been in for 10-1/2 years. I'm a nuke submariner (1120). In another few weeks I'll be finishing my Department Head tour as Navigator/Operations Officer on a fast attack sub here and will be transferring to the Office of Naval Intelligence in Maryland for a couple years of shore duty. Should be a pretty cool job, I think - analyzing all the intel we get on other countries' subs.

I am a Staff Sgt. I work with the 17th Public Affairs Detachment for the Division, 25th. I am a Journalist who writes for the Hawaii Army Weekly and I am also a webmaster for the 25th ID Website.

I use to be a 13B. It's a Feild Artillery I was a cannon crew member and also drove the tracked Paladin 109 A6 155mm.

That was fun.

I was also recently promoted back in May so I still have a year and some change b4 my first look for SFC. I have also been toying with the idea of becoming a Warrant officer in my field since they are looking for qualified personnel (me) to fill slots.
Hopefully I'll be classified as 53 by DEC/JAN, but should be beginning school for it around SEP 06.

PROVIDENCE (719) as a JO, KEY WEST (722) as a DH. I've been TAD to BREMERTON (698) for the past few months (in shipyard - bleh). Not sure about the command aspirations, still have a few more years to figure that one out.
