Question What brand of coolant?

Went to Schuman to purchase subaru specific radiator coolant but was told by George that they don't bring it in. He said the service dept uses the GM coolant. I searched I-Club and found people using everything from peak to toyota red stuff to dex-cool. What do subie owners use in Hawaii? Thanks, odzilla.

Me too, Mister 2. I use toyota red in my sienna van, good coolant. I was wondering what brand coolant the HIIC subaru members would recomend for use in their subarus. Thanks.

well the type you want to put in your car would be the green type... If you are going to use something else then you'll need to flush your cooling system so that you only use that type. Mixture of different types of coolant isn't a good idea!

yeah don't mix. flush good. i wouldn't recommend gm dexcool.
put in my mustang(go figure??gm product in a ford??) but this shop in kailua told me it should be fine. but it wasn't. dexcool for some reason-if you decide later to change back(make sure you flush extremely good) cuz for some reason it tends to make things corrode faster(unless my car just plain sucked and i didn't know what i was doing!. IMO stay green.
