Wes is back in the saddle!
You're a hair away Jess! Make sure you bring your helmet with you from now on!
btw, for those that don't know...my "win" over that EVO was due to him bogging or mis-shifting or something. It was my 14.01 vs his 14.50...he was doing 13.7's earlier...

Super congrats, Wes. I wish I were there so bad.
On a side note, I'm looking at getting a rental Neon and going to Englishtown, NJ this weekend. What times do you think I'll pull?

I would image they require you to wear a helmet in an STi even if you havent raced before just because it "can" do 13s easy? Just curious. I do want to get off my azz and stop worrying about making a fricking fool outta myself and try the drags. Are wednesdays less crowded? Whats a good time to come and ride the short bus through the orientation and do a few runs? Hopefully when very few people are there.

Dave: you won't make a fool out of yourself don't worry. i run 16's there allllllllll the time.
i would suggest you go to check in, tell them its your first time running, and they'll direct you to pull over to the side. Once there, you'll ride the orientation van which the guy will explain to you the general proceedure and courtesies of the track.

They're not going to require you to wear a helmet until the car has gone 13's.
Historically a WRX/STi n00b (if my inaugural performance was any indication!) isn't going to bust into the 13's on their first outing...
No worries!

Ah ok cool, I guess I should atleast pick up a helmet anyways in case a miracle happened and I ran a 13 and still wanted to run more than night. Just gotta break away from the family for a night, which is hard to do.

So I actually pull up to where they number the car then and tell them? Was wondering where the hell I go. First time there following Dom I pulled up there and felt like a complete idiot. Everyone was watching me and thinking I was gonna run, but of course I backed up and parked. Nice.

Ah ok, I get butterflies when Im out driving and I think about launching at the track. I sorta practice when Im out and about, but havent found a good area where I can really rev and practice much. Didnt want the first launch to be at the track in a nice new STi in front of everyone.
