Well, I said my modding days were over.
Long story short Blake,
By the time I picked the wheels, they went out of stock(for months). Job security problems came out(State FTL) so decided to hold off until it settled.
The wheels I wanted came back in stock, and I'm picking them up as well as a ton of different parts.
Oh...it's up to 5k now. :/

From what I remember all those choices were nice.

Sportrac, Ultracs?
These are the new Sessantas, a bit revised from the one's that came out 1 1/2 years ago. I had Ultracs non Sessantas before and they were fine. I heard these are ridiculous.

Ultrac Cento I believe...the one with the 2 inner bands and the shoulder blocks that almost looked like bands themselves. I didn't originally buy them as they came on a set of rims that I bought off a member up here.
They were OK tires but I have no idea how much they cost. I'd say ultimate grip on par with BFG G-force Sport. Turn in on par as well. As such, these tires were right in the middle of summer non-racing tires. Had them in 235-45-17.
For free tires they were nice but I moved on once they ran out of tread. My big problem with those tires were that I'm not so sure Giugiaro knows how to produce a tread pattern that works well rather than looks good. However I will insert a caveat that I did not auto-x on these tires as they ran out of tread before I got a chance. They were also only at like 4-5/32 tread left so I didn't experience them "fresh".

Sounds good.
Got them as recommended by some people who lived in tropical climate, as they have really really good wet handling for max performance summer tires. Last review I've seen from EVO Magazine had them listed and reviewed in order:
1) Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric
2) Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta
3) Continental Contisport Contact 3
4) Bridgestone Potenza RE050-A
5) Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
6) Pirelli PZero Nero
7) Kumho Ecsta STP KU31
8) Dunlop Sport Maxx
9) Yokohama S.Drive
Usually, I'm not someone who are into reviews and none of the tires that were listed here were impressive except for the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. Those are renowned tires for performance and quietness and supposedly the Sessantas were better.

If I was going for a new performance tire that needed to see water I would go Dunlop Star-Spec. Those suckers are proven on-track faster than most of the high-dollar tires out there.
But hey, if those Vredesteins aren't too expensive I say give them a shot...I don't think it'd hurt to try something different.
