Weather?

Is it really low 80s at night time? My car reads 80-82 degrees at night while I get 84-86 during the day. I can't believe that night time is not much different than day time temperatures on Oahu.

I live in town so it's not cold like Wahiawa but still...is it really that hot at night?

lol, yes this needs a thread in Hawaii because I don't know if that's normal temperatures or if my thermometer is acting funny.

no this isnt a "bad" thread. I get this Q at the dealer all the time. the location of your temp. is under your fender well. if it gets wet it will read different. most of the time when its not wet it can be up to +/- a few degrees off just depends on where your parked. if you see some crazy #'s like 34, 8 or so have it checked out (this is for hawaii guys since we shouldn't see those #'s)

Yes, our weather is really that temperate. Hence why you might have seen all the "WTF its cold as ballz" posts a couple months ago.... because, well, it was.

Yep, typical Hawaii. No real seasons, it can rain anytime, sometimes cold, sometimes hot. I remember my sensor indicated low 90's idling in the garage.

ok, glad to know that's normal. I'm reading low 80s in the UH parking structure.

Yes, and there is a bulletin board regarding this issue, as my car (08 STi) had the fix.

So, Steak, don't worry about your thread, you asked the right question, and if this was irrelevant, only the moderator can let you know and delete your thread if deemed necessary.

A new car can be lemon too, no matter what brand!
