WB02 sensor
For those who have this, did you also install an aftermarket 02 sensor?
Can I use the stock 02 sensor when I use a WB02 or is it necessary to upgrade the stock 02 sensor?
I have heard that the WRX can go without the stock 02 sensor and I have also heard the opposite. Any info on this?
Thanks guys!

you don't have to have the stock o2 sensor, you could just do the 'resistor mod'.
but that doesn't have anything to do with the WBo2, that is an entirely different sensor and you want it mounted in a spot on your downpipe.
You can buy wide band o2 kits, which may come with the controller, dispay, and sensor, ... or just the controller and display, and you source a sensor, etc.
The bad thing is, the bosch o2 senosr that people use with the diy wideband kits is becoming Very rare and Very expansive, it can still be sourced, but possibly not very easily.
AEM is coming out with a WBo2 sensor and controller, they sourced a different sensor than the bosch one, and NTK one, normally used, as to not have the availability problem. Their controller/display/senor kit is supposed to cost about $500 or so I think.

TurboXS is coming out with a WBO2 kit that interfaces directly with the UTEC. My Techedge kit might be for sale with that in mind.

I think my boost gauge is ugly so I 've been procrastinating. I just read on the nabisco forums that Vishnu finalized the closed loop boost control on the Xede, but I checked on Vishnu's website and couldn't find anything about it
I thought about 18hrs gauges, but I liked the look of the Omori look gauges instead.
I have my new block, but I won't have time to install it until I finish annual training on the 26th of next month.
While I'm away, would you be interested in playing with my Xede and Xmap software? Maybe you could figure it out for me. I still have no clue on how to tune

Are you talking about in July? I can do that if you want. I think I'm going on trip again in August/September.
AND just hook up the gauge Temporarily!!
It's just to monitor things that are going on for now, it's very easy to disconnect a boost gauge later on.
If you have time this weekend, I can help out. I just have A Lot of little things I need to get done on my car.
Did you get the 2.5l head gasket too? just curious if you've got everything you need for the swap.

The new techedge kit uses a Bosche sensor that is very easy to find. It's the NTK sensor that is not. There are a couple other WB kits out there that are under $600 so you may want to look out for those. I wouldn't wait for AEM's only because they are historically late in releasing things when they say they will.
yes, ... aem is worse than vishnu when it comes to releasing things at the 'projected' times
but, better the product be 100% pure h2o, rather than the normal 75% we get.

If Richard is selling his kit, ... I'm sure you can get a good deal on it! ;D

I'm not sure yet. It's definitely going, I just don't know for how much and when. I want to get one more good fuel tune on my car with the VF34 before it goes.
I'll know more in a coupla weeks (maybe a month?) when the TXS guys make their announcement...
