Wastegate question

Is an external wastegate neccessary for a large turbo (750cfm) if the turboback is a BPM Mkiii? I was told that BPM's unique design eliminates majority of the backpressure.

You wont know until you drive the car and see if the wastegate opens up under high boost conditions. A properly designed wastegate shouldnt... but then again some people with only VF30's have boost creep because the wastegate can't hold itself shut.

I think you should get one just for ****'s and giggles.

like he said, ... you won't really know if it's necessary until you instal the turbo. Depending on the internal wastegate used, it may or may not be sufficient.
You're talking about the vishnu turbo, right?

Oh and a cheaper solution to boost creep... Add backpressure, or port out your internal wastegate hole. The former being easier then the later
