It wasn't a crash. Mechanical issues.

When you say mechanical problems do you mean problems directly related to the Subaru product? Or do you mean tires or aftermarket add-on failures?

Just wondering because my only two failures/issues on my STi was a corded race tire and running a little hot. I'm under the impression that Subarus are very reliable.

Too bad I don't have my Subaru anymore. I could have gotten a free track day out of it.

You guys should make it out to the SuperLap on the 24th of this month. Same deal but way more track time, can be competitive, and you get times if you get a transponder.

My dad's turbo frankenstein. I think 2nd is out again. Good news is that another transmission was already on the side from big D's car. He said it ran really good and would've caught Jeff's WRX eventually and his uplifting comment was, "At least we know the car makes plenty of torque." Also, the dp was burning through the main harness, but it's a twisted blessing the car was down before any serious damage was done.

*edit*

It's a 1998 turbo RS for anyone that doesn't know and the transmission was stock RS as well (that I know), which might explain some problems. I think I read somewhere that the trans is the same used in the 1.8 L. Scary prospect.

^^^Sweet! What was causing that rattle anyway?

As far as the event today, it was friggin FUN! Who was in the tower anyway saying I wasn't in the right environment with my car? Screw that! I ran that biatch about as hard as I could with those tires. I always wondered what that track would be like without those pesky cones .
