unfortunately if you want good odds on the crap tables you have to hit up the old side, main street...............but if you want to see something other than local people hit the strip!!! You can do a lot of people watching. I managed to meet Richard Petty and Jerry Jones at the stardust last year

I love Vegas! I went in April, and am going again in November. As far as places to eat......you are definitely going to the right place. Prime Rib/Seafood buffet.....tons of them. The Bellagio buffet is off the hook, and so is the one at the Rio (Carnival, I think). Both of those are ridiculously good. Pretty much every hotel on the strip will have at least one good steakhouse and Seafood restaurant on their property. Shows......I've never been to any. Gambling........I always lose anyway, but it's hella fun. On my last trip, I had pretty good luck at Main Street. But, you gotta go to the strip just to walk around. Good luck man. I don't have to tell you to have fun, 'cuz I'm sure you will. Peace

I just got back from there last week. Spent about 8 days. Definitly check out the different hotels. If you have time check out the Hoover Dam and other stuff. I also tried the indoor skydiving and go-karting. You best bet would be to look through that Vegas magazine they leave in your room for some of the activites they have in town. I wanted to go the shooting range, but ran out of time on this trip. As for shows, I've only gone to Blue Man and a Topless show(can't remember the name). Blue man was horrible, even the wife had more fun at the topless show. Right now I think they have a huge jewlery expo going on at the Venitian if that's your thing.
