I agree the movie wasn't the best, ........ but I really think you were 'hyping it up' in your mind too long or something!

I enjoyed it though.
I also enjoyed 'once upon a time in mexico', ..... it wasn't a killer movie, but it was enjoyable. Take the movies for what their worth, ... entertainment.
Maybe I'm just too easily entertained sometimes though, .... but I love movies for what they are!

"The Rundown" comes out this coming weekend, ... there was actually a showing this weekend at Dole.

I have high hopes for "The Rundown" too.
Maybe I do hype them up too much.
I'm a big book reader and sometimes I feel that my brain is a much better set designer/producer/director than some of these big budget film studios could ever find for MY TASTES...
Maybe I should stick to novels?
As far as the track is concerned - you can, nay HAVE to make crap smell like roses and taste like chocolate if YOU HAVE NO ALTERNATIVES. So like the island people that we are (people stuck with so many things about which we have so little choice) we make do and grin & bear it.

Richard, ... 'grinning and bearing it' is the problem. I definitely think you're smart enough to know that.

If people would stand up for something to be done, as a whole, things would have to change. The whole "new track proposal" seems to be a ploy to shut people up or something. But a new track wouldn't be such a "necessity" if Proper Maintenance was done at the current HRP. I just think it's Damn Silly for people to sit there and say, "it's not that bad", or "there's nothing wrong with it, and there are no safety issues". That's just lies being passed.
Maybe I'm just different, ... but when I want something, or need to get something done, ... I make it happen. Maybe that's just my, and the military's, mentality. If I could become (and maybe someday I can) more involved locally to make things change, or to bring change, I would, or will.
my new sig

Maybe the time for Mr. Nice Guy is over and more people like you with an agenda and the will to make it happen are needed. It's hard to sweep out the "old guard" though.
