Uncle Scottys Cocktail Review
This can only start off with my initial reaction.
Today I finally got around to changing my leaking rear tranny seal. Dumped almost all of my Subaru Extra-S in my driveway one drip at a time. I decided to use the USC only because my schedule constantly was the opposite of Shaggy's so I just went ahead and made it.
Go the Redline Heavyweight and the Penzoil at Redline Automotive in Aiea and the Axle Limited Slip at Oreilly (may be at redline but I never looked since i already had some.)
After changing the rear seal, which was amazingly super easy as long as you have the pry tool. I put everything back together and did the mixture.
First drive.
Gear shifts are smooth but I definitely would have to say that Extra-S is MUCH smoother. All noises that my tranny was making (due to low fluid) are gone. After 20 miles I went full throttle into second. Shift seemed flawless along with the initial feeling after clutch engagement.
I guess if anything I will update this in the future if I have any problems or hit 100k on odometer(currently at 86000)prolly not here but in Cali).
