ultimate racing's 2-way downpipe?

well, it must not be good since i dont ever see anyone talking about it. but dont get me wrong, they got the right idea by letting the exhaust gas flow through a different pipe therefore leaving the stock exhaust set-up. but this would be something for me since i plan on leaving the stock muffler and producing a sleeper look. let me know what you guys think.

So you want the exhaust gas to exit under the car? That would suck at a stop light or at idle...........

But thats why it can be open and closed. It would be for off road use only unless he wants to open it while he is cruining
I think he should do it.

Yeah, it's just a cutaway. Like how some of you have removed your axleback or catback down at the track for completely non-restricted flow, this does the same thing without having to get under the car. Just a flick of a switch.

I guess that's cool, I'd want something that's always on. That's just one more thing to go wrong, what if it stayed open?

I guess it would be really benificail for someone that wants to remain stock looking every one in a while. But the reliablity issue shouldn't be to much of a worry nothing is perfect so i'm pretty sure you would just have to maintain it. ( A little WD-40 could help keep it working maybe)

That's cool. I'd just be thinking.. "hmm wonder what happens if the mechanism that opens/closes the bypass fails?"

Its cool none the less.

Who cares about what stock air flow is like. Its when you open it up where the real fun begins. But thats me

I was contemplating adding an ultimate racing/quicktime cutout to my existing system for quite some time - but since I don't race the car anymore it would only be for showin' off - and I'm too shy.

Maybe this is me being hard-headed but.........

Something I'm only going to use maybe 5% of the time.......isn't worth it to me.

Plus, wouldn't there be any wastegate flutter or boost creep issues with a set up like that in "open mode"??????

I think the down-pipe is cool but it just doesn't look right to me.........But I'm not a smart man.
