Okay I admit I dont have resources like the boys at TurboXS, I'm just jealous
Believe you me I'm glad for all of the support network for the UTEC! Truth be told UTEC "tuners" are a pretty closed-mouth lot. I'm surprised at the relative lack of traffic at WRXHackers.

Well if my wastegate settings are setup incorrectly, then increases in the speed at which I build boost could very well affect or amplify if you will any spiking I have now.

standalones are not good daily drivers But it's fun

Lack of traffic? The LINK section is a ghost town.

So when are we going to do some WBO2 tuning on your car to at least get "in the ballpark"?

Dammit I know I know... It's ust so damn hard to be a night owl like you Richard.

Perhaps we can do driveability stuff then for now and the occasional 3rd gear blitz or something? It would be nice to get near stoich around town these gas prices are killing me. 150 miles per tank has much suck.

While the stock o2 sensor is JUNK when it comes to tuning for WOT it does a GREAT job of generating "near idle" voltages...

Can you use the stock o2 sensor to set your idle afr in the Link?

Truth be told I have no idea what kind of part-throttle AFR we should be seeing.

You know what we should do? We should throw the WBO2 on a stock car, or at least a stock injector car and do some extensive logging during different driving conditions (idle, tip-in acceleration, cruise, deceleration, warm/cold, etc.) and then we can use this information to tune your car.

Anybody wanna be a guinea pig to see what kind of AFR's the stock ECU likes to put out?

Talking

so who has used the WB02 so far???

I was wondering when you guys were going to start posting, or asking questions.

But since you guys are so unsociable, ... I'm going to be tuning with a certain DSM that has a real turbo on it.

Sorry, Sean! Didn't mean to be unsociable... There's just only so much room in the "White Worm" (ya like? ) and first dibs got it. Heheheh.

I've been the only foolhardy enough one to go blitzing around at illegal speeds on deserted roadways at all hours of the morning searching for the perfect fuel curve so far.

I'm sure Mitch and Pat will be close behind.

On a side note I won't have to be pestering you guys for the WBO2 unit - my setup is on island and UPS should be dropping it off at the 'partment tonight (crosses fingers as they've screwed up the delivery since Friday!)

FYI... #4 is the hottest running cyl and NOT #3 on the new age cars. The best place for the probe is on the #4 cyl about 5-6 inches from the port.

Just thought this would be some good info. for the aspiring tuners out there.
