Sti-LLegal, last week saturday, I ran 13.35 @ 100mph, with the HKS ssqv installed. Bout a month ago I ran 13.30 @ 100.7mph with the same setup. Hopefully, I can better those times this friday....It'll be tough since that 13.30 run was almost flawless, I think?

Really unless you are making more boost than stock a aftermarket BOV is not going to do anything how can it? I have asked many people if you can show me where a BOV gives gains in HP then I'll buy one nobody has showed me yet so I still have the stock one.

When you decelerate (specifically, when you take your foot off of the pedal and the engine speed decelerates), the inertia of the exhaust gases causes it to be pulled back towards the turbine. If you didn't have a BOV, that mass of air would cause significant damage to the turbine blades. I believe that this phenomenon is called compressor surge.
