San and me put his wheels on with these tires and yes this size on a 17x8.5 wheel and they are a sick tire they feel sticky when they are cold not sure how they are in the rain but who cares people should be careful when it's raining anyway.

Hey guys I was out there too on Saturday I dont know if anyone saw me but I only ran twice.

First time was against the white supra with nos, I ran 14.5 and he ran 13.2
Second time was against white 5.0 mustang, I ran 14.0 and he ran 14.7

still not into the 13 sec club because I need to fix my air/fuel problem thats throwing the cel from the tbe after I get either ecutek or accessport I should be 13s. What you guys think ecutek or access port?

Dan are you crazy? There is nothing wrong with your car. I told you exactly why you got a cel, it is because you have [breaking news] NO CATS [/breaking news]. Quit making excuses for not running better. Your car is perfect. You should be running 13.25X or better. That is what Carlos and ran with just a turbo back, and our was no where as nice as yours at the time. I think Dan (Mach5WRX) ran something like a 13.1 with just a turbo back. The CEL is doing nothing at all to your A/F mixture. If you would have stayed for more than 2 runs you might have learned something. I wouldn't have wasted 8 dollars for 2 runs. I ran about 15 time saturday night. I am not trying to be a dick, but everyone is getting pretty upset with your dumb posts, dumb questions and everything else. I'll call you tomorrow to talk to you about this in person because I'm a nice guy. We are all friendly, and I have personally busted my *** to help you with your car so don't make excuses. Any time you're ready I'll put your car in the low 13's. Oh and BTW, you are at 1.08 posts per day so you can quit posting in every single tread that you can find to post in.

Those tires sound great, but I'll have to tell for my wet traction is my number 1 priority with tires. Not R compound of course, so San's don't count. I want my car to grip just as well in the wet as it does in the dry. My KDW's do that so I am happy with them. I need to go check out San's beast. I hear there are some big time mods going on it, now if we could only get our master brake cylinder brace. 17X8.5 with those tires = some serious traction.

sec ran a 15.14@93.54
third ran a 14.53@14.53
forth ran a 14.50@95.96
fifth ran a 14.39@97.83

what am i doing wrong?how did you do it? oh and i was boosting @ 0.8 bar
Here is a few reason why you are having trouble. Listen to me on this, we have seen other people try it, and they didn't listen and later after we proved them wrong they went back and took the **** off of their car. You can also give Cobb a call to verify what I say.

1. Remove your intake, it will **** your **** all up, any intake other than stock with the Accessport= slower times. The intake will make your car run like crap. Put the stock airbox back in along with a new drop in filter if you can pic one up. If not the stock filter is pretty good to, and I have a used STi one you can probably have for free.

2. Remove the MBC, the cobb is specifically tuned to work with the stock solenoid and the maps are "optimized" for that boost. If you are not hitting the boost you want with your regular cobb map use the stage whatever High Wastegate map. That will give you higher boost and the fuel, and timing to support that boost. You can pull a little bit quicker time by using the 93 stage 2 map w/ hwg, but you need to mix some 100 octane with 92 to give you no less than 94 octane in the car.

I hope that help, and also keep in mind, like you said you are just getting used to 1/4 the car. Your times will get better as you learn how to shift and launch better. With your mods I think you should be about to do about 13.7 or so on the stage 2 93 HWG. Maybe better. Your car is several hundred pounds lighter than stock and you have the 4.11 gearing which is better for 1/4 accel. I hope that helps.

WOW! $207 for 4 tires. That's $51.75 per tire.

I paid $875 for these rims and KDW2's (no rash and about 98% tread left)

I have the feeling that those ADVAN tires probably talk to you when you push them past their limits....literally.
