Tracks 01/06/06

Anyone going to the tracks this Friday? I'm heading out there this Friday and my wife is gonna run her own car (STi) and I'm gonna finally run the RX7. Don't know what it will run but knowing the track without any traction I'll be lucky to be in the 12's. I hope my wife can get the STi in the 13's.....

Congrats Rudy.

I won't be able to make it friday, I'll be on duty. I'd liek to think that Josh and Lance will be there again, along with the regulars. Either way, I expect to see you guys on Sunday for the Auto-X

Was good seeing you guys out there! I'm pretty happy with the RX7. It was all driver error. I kept shifting from 2nd to 5th!!! Damnit!!! LOL! Well when I finally shifted through the gears properly I was able to manage a 12.6 at 114mph. That was with a 2.1 60' and a slow shift from 2nd to 3rd (to make sure I got it in there!). So I figure I could probably get at least low 12's with a good 60' and just being smooth with my shifting. Pretty happy none the less. The thing that really got me happy was my wife (Farah) was able to hit a 13.9! WOOOHOOO!!! I'm so proud of her. This was her first time ever running at the tracks. I just wanted her to hear the guy that gives out the time slips say "do you have a helmet?" LOL!

Damn, Dave! I saw that awesome run! good job to the both of you.

On another positive note, I got an even better personal best by running back to back 13.6@97mph runs. Chee hoo!

Everybody did pretty well. Congratulations all around. And I'll get Josh and Randy some Jamba Juice at the next meet for letting Tom and I use their helmets (yeah, we were freeloaders...).
