Touch up paint question?
Touch up paint question?
Anyone know if there is an easy quick way to fill in small scratches in Satin White Pearl? Maybe like a paint pen or something else? Any advice would be appreciated. I have small scratches that I accidentally made taking the "WRX" side ornaments off to paint them and I am really hoping there is some way I can fill it in.
go to automotivetouchup.com. just get your paint code and you're all set. you can get the complete set of cleaner and the paint and clear in the pens. if you don't want the set, just get the paint pen. works great for a quick solution!
since swp is a multi-coat paint (base/pearl/clear) vs usual paints, you have a few routes based on the depth and coverage of the marks
I have both kits, though only used the paint pen:
-paint pen (bought from subaru, like $15?) has a brush and a pen-nib applicator, this works well for the small nicks, I wouldnt try and fill a deep scratch with it but if it just broke the clear and paint, the pen is a good way to go.
-scratchwizard kit (from the makers of dr.colorchip if i recall correctly) ~35ish, haven't used the kit but it's thorough. comes with filler for deeper scratches as well as a base coat plus separate pearl coat of paint. this is made to fill deeper scratches, also has a 'blob remover' (basically diluted thinner) to help even out the paint coat. i've seen before and after pics and it looks reliable
good luck on your choice!
