When I say it's too pricey for me, I don't mean that it's not worth it. I was very impressed. I always figured that Palm was the only way to go, but being that most of us are mainly used to MS OS's, the IPAQ was very easy to use. Plus, for it's graffiti, it recognizes the palm alphabet.

The 801.2g or whatever it's called was very seamless. You just activate or deactivate.

There's quite a bit of flash and internal storage, although, the Palm Tungsten t5 eclipses most everyone I saw.

I was pleased. Any other facet that you're interested in? I only had it for 4 days. I took it back already (I really love to 'try before you buy'.)

Yeah. If you know Windows, you'll already know your way around an IPAQ.

Alright, I've already taken the IPAQ back to the store for a full refund (prior to 14 days) and picked up a Palm Tungsten T5.

To start, I have to explain something. About 5 years ago, I bought a Palm m505. I was pretty pleased with it's design and the fact that it had some pretty fancy programs (for a palm pilot.)

It didn't irritate me too much when I tried to set it up on my computer for the first time and it wouldn't 'sync'. It was one of those deals where I had to experiment with everything...setting different com ports, trying serial vice USB...changing all of the settings. I finally got it working.

Now, I'm playing with this $399 piece of artwork and guess what. It won't sync. It's important that it must sync the very first time you install it. For troubleshooting purposes, I've tried it in my older desktop upstairs, AND my relatively new (2004) laptop. No dice.

Besides the fact that it won't sync, honestly the palm itself and the applications aren't that much of an improvement over the 5 year old m505. Sure it plays music and movies. Big deal. I've got mp3 players that do both of that. It has 256mb internal memory. That surpasses every other one I've seen, but what good is it if I can't sync and therefore transfer files?

Unlike the IPAQ, it doesn't come with the wireless (801.2x...I believe). It does have bluetooth, but that only means that I would now have ONE item in my home with bluetooth...this is like one hand clapping.

It has the ability to use SD flash memory. That's what I really like.

It's going back this weekend.
