What are you thoughts on it... I've got a gallon of ACS Tire Shine (good stuff) but I'm debating whether to use it or not. since I don't want all that crap getting on my paint!

Just don't apply too much. You can always take a dry cloth and wipe the excess off to by safe....keeps the shine down a little too. I'm trying to remember if the ACS one was a gel....its easy to use too much when using a foam applicator. Another factor is the type of tire. Over the years I've noticed some tires tend to absorb rubber conditioners better than others (less crap to fly off).

Use it....just don't abuse it. As long as you don't have excess amounts left on the tire you should be fine. Maybe just be careful if you take the car out for a spin immediately after applying it.

 

I tried it today before you replied the first time... I used a paint brush and let it sit for about 10 minutes then wiped off the excess

Took the car out for a spin then it RAINED

 

You should try and use a foam applicator. It'll apply the product more evenly and probably allow you to better control the amount applied. I use Meguiars tire gel but use Eagle One foam applicators. I think they come in 2 different sizes, I use the smaller one and cut them in half. They are the perfect size (and cheap!).

I use tirefoam and then just wipe off excess on my rim / tire with paper towels... and if any gets on the paint i get my shammy and wipe it off,

Why? Becuase i'm a lazy *** and it lasts for like 3 weeks and sometimes more if your generous with the coating.

infek, my friend owns that business! did u buy from junior?
he sells all his stuff to our dealership...
we use a regular paint brush. what you can do is get a clean malolo syrup gallon jug... cut a hole big enough for the brush to go in(the middle) then use that as a dipping device. that stuff is the most shine you will ever get. using that method will insure that you have the best shine. *i keep a towel handy in the trunk just in case*
