Timing belt HELP!!!!

Hey guys, I've searched and searched but couldnt find so here I am. I recently changed out the timing belt on my 02 wrx and now am trying to fix or jus make sure the timing is correct before I close it up. If you guys know how or where I could find a step by step that would be great.. I'm free on Saturday afternoon and will be trying to finish then, if you want come on down, fresh eyes is always welcome. Thanks

Thats where I get confused, there's many marks on the pulleys/block as well as the belt itself. So I'm not to sure which is supposed to line up with what...

Also a 40min youtube vid. It's for an NA impreza, but should be the same I think as far as aligning is concerned. Important stuff is at 25:00 mark.

Hope everything went well. On SOHC's its stupid easy, on DOHC, with an extra pair of gears to mess with can be a nuisance but IMHO, some people make it sound scary. Just make sure the pistons dont kiss! LOL, thats the line that got me paranoid. Got assistance with first with SOHC, then assisted with an STi. NOt all that different

you should have lined up the marks BEFORE you remove the old belt. if the marks on the new belt don't match up then its possible you have the belt backwards. and when you turn the crank it is best to turn it the same way the engine runs. Good luck
