You can do it yourself.

Especially the shifter. I can do the shifter in 47 seconds. I timed myself. The bushigns will take about 15 min on jack stands.

Whoa whoa whoa there Alex.

From the screen name "WrXsTI2005", I would assume he has a 2005 STI. The short shifter for the six speed will take more than 47 seconds.

Here is a link with full detail instructions of the install:

Oh yeah, after we did a second install of a Kartboy shortshifter for the STI, we found a better way to install the lock out pressfit pin. Instead of crawling under the car to sucure the cable for slack, we pulled on the cable from above as directed, and put the shifter into reverse. This keeps slack on the cable and allows you to insert the pin without going under the car.

Good luck,
-Kevin

True.

I am talking 5MT. I wasn't thinking STi. After all, who cares about them... j/k.

Well Ryan did mine today, and I just want to say that he did an awesome job. It took a little while, but it is worth it. Thanks Ryan! I love how short and stiff the throws are with the kartboy shifter!

No prob, glad you like it. Removal and installation of the shifter itself was fast, it just took FOREVER to get the cable lined up with the pin. Could you feel a difference with the Hyper voltage/Grounding cable mod?

I don't really know about the hypervoltage yet. I think it is too early, but I did notice that the car idles more smoothly. I can't be for sure about anything else yet. I am waiting to see if I notice a difference in my gas milage.
