Time Attack Style Rims - trying to be cool like Bran808
Not baller like Bran808 and some other guys on here so instead of buying 800,000,000 sets of rims
...I just changed the look of my current ones. They were originally MB Weapon - Bronze - 17x8 +35 - 245/40/17 BFG G-Force Sports (don't like them).
One project down...only 5-6 other mods sitting in my garage to be installed. Obviously my lazy *** chose the least work intensive (or so I believed) one first.
My rims' original color - Bronze:

After painting them black:

With the stripes applied...they are Orange-Reflective:

They sure look like a pain to get perfect. When the wheel starts spinning, you'll see how well you did..
Looks cool!
I'd say vinyl is a much more "reversible" mod - you never know when you'll want to change it up..
Btw. Kinda off-topic. +35 offset is supposedly detrimental to your wheel bearings, in a way. How long have you had your wheels, and have you had any problems? I figure i'd ask someone who auto-x'es their car once in a while.

Looks cool!

I have the exact same wheel and tire setup as you do, except mine are still bronze. I'm planning to paint them, probably going to do something dark grey and I'm considering doing a white stripe instead of a reflective orange one. How hard was it to get the stripe done right?

It's not perfect but hopefully no one really notices.
