For those with extra sets of wheels/tires....

Saw this flipping through my brother's copy of Sports Car the other day:

http://www.vulcantire.com/tiretote_stt.htm

A bit more expensive than the heavy duty green garbage bags I'm using now, but I think these look pretty nice. I'm probably gonna pick up a couple sets, as I have one set of race wheels/tires in the garage for the Subaru, and a set of race wheels/tires in the garage for the Mustang, too.

Anyone seen these before or tried them?

couple of the guys on the BMW list i'm on said that they didnt care for them...they said that they wish the entire rim was covered so dirt/brake dust wont get into the interior of the car...

it also looks like theres a gap in the tote, i guess to let the tire stand on it's tread...if it were me, i'd want the entire tire covered to keep things cleaner...i guess you should just keep using garbag bags for now...

or do what i do and just leave the r-compounds on the car all the time

Yeah,

I'm scrubbing in my R compounds, but it's going to be tough to go back to normal tires on the street. Hmmmm.

I hadn't noticed the gap until you pointed it out, poser. I think that's probably what allows for some expand-ability to fit different wheel/tire diameters (since they're one size fits all). I agree with you, though, that I'd want the whole thing covered.

Garbage bags it is for now...
