Thinking of selling US STI heads & cams
...or maybe just heads.
I'm not trying to sell in here (unless you're really a glutton for those gawdoffel shipping charges.) Just wanted to get some old friends thoughts.
Anyhow, I bought them for $1700 but that pretty much worked me into a corner.
I was thinking that if I were fortunate enough to get what I paid, that should pretty much fund the cost of porting my WRX heads. If I sold them with cams, I may even be able to purchase the 272's.
I need a clutch in a pretty bad way, too.
The PCV on top of the block had been leaking, so I pulled some hoses out of the way and found that the clamp wasn't on it at all. I clamped it, which was every bit of a pleasant pain in the ***, but....it's still leaking (spraying at high rpms.)
I already reported on the fricken reverse, but I think I'll be able to do without it for a short while.
Thoughts?

I'm thinking that if I were able to get full price out of them, that I'd be able to now be able to afford a port job and harder valve train/larger cams.
Or maybe I ought to fix my problems.
Decisions, decisions.

I think
I've said this before, but I would want V7 or V8 heads. Cams are a personal preference. The V7/8 heads have very large ports. You might talk to Quirt Crawford and ask his preference. If you can utilize your heads and save money, go for it.
