You are going to have to cut up your front bumper and move your coolant expansion tank for sure.

I has one. Build quality is as good as an expensive one. However, depending on how big you go, you will have to do what Ryan said above. Don't go too big or else you will face lag like a ****. What turbo are you running, TD04?

Stick with your top mount if you are still on the stock turbo. If not then there are some gains to be made with a correct tune. Not all of the ebay front mounts that I have installed fit perfect.

i ran the stock td04 with a small front mount..

but the ssac front mount is way to large for the stock turbo.

to the op, stick with your top mount!!!

You can still benefit from having a front mount with the TD04. Aside from just the intercoooler itself being too large, the piping is another factor. Most kits go 2.5" ID hot side and 2.75" - 3" ID on the cold, with a 3" core interooler. This IS actually pretty big for the TD04. That's where DIY comes into play:

Get a 2.75" thick intercooler core, use 2.25" ID piping on the hotside and 2.75" ID on the cold side. The most important side is the hot side because the smaller it is, the faster it"ll travel the intercooler core, with less lag. The compressed air will always be slowed down by the core because it has to cool there. Anyway, get a tune for this setup and you can barely feel the lag difference and ontop of that, safely run more boost. My VF39 used to start spooling at 2750rpm, and 2500rpm now on my VF34 with a similar intercooler and piping setup.

The only problem is, not everyone likes to DIY this stuff.....

Love,

Joe

Don't go too big anyway because your wagon is super slammed, might get a boost leak, lol.
