All the stage kits now have ECU remaps as a replacement for the Unichips... must be the Unichips are selling so cheap) I'll email them if I can't directly order it.

I Highly suggest you order the harness from Shiv. I suggest giving them a call to make sure they have one in stock, then just pay over the phone.
With the harness, I can splice in the unichip, emi harness, and AVCR, so no splicing into your stock harness for anything.

He substitutes the ECU Re-maps in the kits b/c it is better than a unichip.

I emailed him, and will call after I get back from PT. Thanks for all the help.

The cool thing is that the chip is already flashed for a stage 1. How convenient... that's what I'll have.

As everyone recommends, buy the wiring harness. When I decided to move from Unichip to ECUTEK it was much easier.
If you don't have, you will also want 1" spacers and longer bolts for you kick plate. I picked up at City Mill and Home Depot. Even with those it's a tight fit and you'll probably want to put some type of insulation between your kick plate and and EMI Adapter/Unichip/Harness.

I'm going to be out of town for a few weeks in March, but will try to stop by when you have the install party (if I am on island).

Looks like all the wagons are upgrading!

Difference between Unichip harness and EMI wiring harness

Alright, here's the deal. I've been searching around online for the PNP harness, and it looks to me that the unichip PNP harness and the EMI wiring harness are the same thing. Here's a picture of a guy who sold a "Unichip/PNP wiring harness" on E-bay

Now here's a picture from Vishnu

They look the same. Is this guy ignorant, or are the Unichip harness and EMI harness the same thing?
-Greg

edit: Actually, I'm getting the EMI adapter which is completely different... still need the harness. Damnit!

Just difference ways of saying the same thing.

The EMI Adapter on the other hand is an circuit board which would also need to be spliced into your stock wiring or an EMI harness.

Bummers that Vishnu is no longer selling the harness, but I guess they aren't selling unichips anymore either so it makes sense.

You may find it hard to find a wiring harness on it's own without the unichip.

Worst case you can splice into the stock wiring. You'll probably want to use connectors though so you can go back to stock without too much hassle.

Basically I'm finding anyone selling a Unichip +PnP and offering too much money for the PnP... Thank Goodness for the Tax Return and some other income.

$3-400 for the setup. I got the EMI adapter, Unichip, and MBC for just over $450 shipped 2-day.

Unhappy

I don't know. I can't get one as of yet. I've made some pretty high offers, but people are buying the packages and no One is selling just the harness that I've seen.

Keep an eye out for me, please. I'll pay retail if I have to... probably will.
