Turbo tax got me 300+ dollars over what I could do myself the last two years. I got my return a week ago (6 days after filing). AND if I use them every year I don't need to sign or mail ANYTHING. I can use electronic signature which speeds up my return by about a week.

probably gonna pick up turbo tax this weekend...i used to just do it all myself using the 1040EZ forms, but now that my place is under my name, i need to start using the more complex forms...

does anyone know if turbo tax can also figure out deductions for owning a home???

I do the online one, dont have to own any software. They have like 4 different versions and such. Has always done me justice. Most of my friends from the mainland use it too and they actually own houses unlike me who is a big loser and moves too much...

dont think of yourself as a loser, but one who is free to travel wherever and whenever...

besides, owning a home isnt all what it's cracked up to be...i was in my own place 6 months out of high school, and in retrospect, it wouldve been so much easier to just stay with my parents...

and back to turbotax, i'll just buy the software as i have to do my gf's taxes also...just wanted to make sure it does the homeowners thing...

if your military its free if not it costs like 10-20 bucks and you get your return in like a week depending on which option you use
