Synchronic bov installed...

Just changed out my TurboXS 50/50 with a Synchronic bov with recirc kit in my Legacy...

Nothing wrong with the TurboXs...it held boost fine, just wanted to see how a 100% recirc reacted in my car...

So far so good...the kit was actually for an Evo 8/9 but worked perfectly with my fmic setup...couldn't believe how well it fit.

So far, I've noticed less backfires and better throttle response. It also blends into the engine nicely...

The sound...even though it's recirculated 100%, I can hear it as well or better than my TurboXS...at high boost levels, it chugs, like a Supra does...very happy so far...

If you get it, do it knowing that the video demonstration they made for it is faked. They took a car of a valve adjusted to hold 35 psi and said it was bad because there was compressor surge in low boost cruising (when in reality it's normal). For the 2nd half of the video they edited the sound track and pretended their valve was on the car and not causing surge, when in reality the car never even had their valve on it.

I'm not speaking of the valve's quality, just their business practices.

eh...take the video for what its worth...I didn't base my decision on getting this by watching the video try to make the Tial look bad...the Tial is an awesome bov that when tuned properly (using the correct spring for your specific application) is awesome...it is a 100% atmospheric bov though, unless you get the 100% recirc version.

Based on my experience so far (not much, as I only took it for a 15min test drive) I like it...response is quick as shown in the video, my backfires have lessened (I had more like little burps with the 50/50 as compared to the shotgun backfires due to the 100% Atmospheric HKS)...my throttle response between shifts have gotten smoother...

I'm not here to defend nor encourage people to buy this bov...just sharing with people on fit and that its possible to work on our cars...

As for whether its worth $275...eh, for that price there are many you can choose from...there are some that show up here and there for about $150ish...I would prefer to wait it out for the new/used ones...patience is the key.

Dan...it sounds perfect...I can hear it PSHHH at lower boost levels and when under high boost...changes its tone similar to what I wanted to hear which is more of a lower pitch Chuggg, chuggg, chuggg...it's not a surge sounds at all, just all that air being forced back into the recirc pipe through all the bends and such...I really like this. I've been wanting to try this bov out for a while...so far so good.

Jus curious if ur still running stock turbo? I have a blitz bov that came with the car that and it sounds like compression surge(at low and high boost) but I could be wrong, gonna get rid of it as soon as I finish with the rest of my other problems haha.

Might be rusted shut. My turbo smart was for a week or so. Took apart cleaned and oiled it
