Sup Guys!

Sup all! Just figure I drop in here and post up since I'm a noob. Just picked up an 06 STI and was looking for any suggestions. I ordered a TBE and was looking into getting a short ram intake. Do you guys suggest that I get a reflash/EM or will I be good to go without reflash/EM for now? Well I guess that's it for now. See you guys at the track...... Laters!

Hey Dave, are you the one I saw @ Pfleuger Subaru who bought a car from Don? I'm Josh (w/the Forester). As for the TBE, go for it. For the short ram, I'd hold back for now (or check out Cobb's new short ram).

You can go for now w/our a flash, but it's highly recommended w/a TBE. You'll notice a big difference.

Again, congrats on your new car.

Sup! ...IMO, i would break it in first, before any power mods. just incase anything is wrong from the factory....and yes a TBE is a great first mod.. some sort of EM would compliment that greatly also

-ROB

Note: it is possible to run a TBE without EM ..but it is highly recommended.

Thanks guys for the awesome welcome! Sup Josh, yes this is the same Dave from Pfleuger. I actually bought the car from Eric. I just met Don on that day. I just went over 1k miles today..... hehehe! 8 days..... Yeah my car is black. Where did you see me? I've been doing a **** load of driving the past week as you can tell. So I've been all over the island. I just finished putting on Tein S tech springs cause I just couldn't stand how the front looked. WAY too much fender gap!
So it is recommended to have some sort of EM huh. What is the best bet for us in Hawaii? I don't really want to get a full standalone cause we don't have a AWD dyno and I would have to street tune. Not that I haven't done it before (I street tuned my Protege 5) but it is a pain in the butt. What would you guys suggest? I will be doing some more research on these boards so that I won't have to ask the noobie repetative questions.

Dave

alllllllright.. MORE daves! welcome! EM is the next mod imho. I have an xede and i love it. Interface is so-so. The turboxs utec is nice too. The cobb em solution has a VERY nice interface and friends on Big Island have had good results. Enjoy your new ride!
