I think its that magic combination of skill and luck held together by a subaru's ability to inspire driver confidence that has allowed many subie owners to get out of surprising situations like that safely.

Windshield banner, modded headlights, grill, wheels, etc points out that this is probably a subie enthusiast, and the fact that he didn't panic and jab the brakes when he spun out shows he is no amateur driver.

Coming from someone who has had multiple hard winters under their belt I fully believe this is a combination of subaru AWD and smart wheel skills. Snow is trivial for our cars, were light, AWD, and powerful enough to create the friction needed to maintain grip on ice like that.

Can't tell you how many times I've driven through a whiteout passing all the folks in their 4 wheel drive SUV's and trucks sliding all over the place getting stuck, while I just cruise along like its the middle of summer.

I'm sure that guy has had many hours of practice in a parking lot though =p

Not me. I was raised in Colorado and will crash my **** the first chance I get. Lol. Never had AWD experience on the snow so maybe things will be better
