Subaru Super Coolant
I just found this on the Subaru Insider:
Introducing Subaru
Super Coolant
Starting with the 2008 Impreza STI and all 2009 Subaru models, Subaru is using the new Subaru Super Coolant (SSC) in its vehicles. Blue in color, SSC requires no maintenance until the first replacement interval of 11 years/137,500 miles. The next replacement interval after that is 6 years/75,000 miles.
SSC can be mixed with Subaru Long Life Coolant; however, when mixed, the replacement interval must be followed for Subaru Long Life Coolant (30 months/30,000 miles).
Always refer to your Owner's Manual for complete information and have your vehicle inspected regularly
Can we use this in our older cars? I called Servco and they aren't sure . . .

At work I was told that if you wanted to switch over to the SSC that we just couldn't drain and refill. That we had to flush the system and like he said we can't mix or it will affect the longevity. Just something I heard.

I spoke with Rick at Servco Subaru Parts. They don't carry any Subaru coolant, not the Long Life or the new Super Coolant. All they have is the Subaru coolant additive that comes in the small bottle.
From what I can find on NASIOC, The long service interval only applies to cars that were initially filled with the Super Coolant. Any car that came from the factory with the older anti-freeze must follow the 30K change interval, even if you flush the system and refill with the newer stuff.
