Subaru STI Carbon

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/30/t...snt-make-sense

Subaru plans to unveil this new type of STI at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show.

Carbon Roof? I like

5 speed AUTOMATIC? Not so much.
An auto is fine in a car like my Legacy, but in an STI? Really?

I'd much rather have this, honestly:

Yeah, I know its a Hybrid, but look at it!! A modern day CRX! (as you can tell I still have some Honda running through my veins)

Or this:

If the 5-auto speed is as good as the SST in the Evo X, Why not?!
I know someone who will be happy if it hits the market rather than getting an VW GTI-R

Because the gearbox in the EVO is a double clutch gearbox, while the STI uses a traditional automatic ( it's esentialy the same unit out of the auto Legacy I have). The differance between a double clutch and an auto is night and day.

I can see the CF roofs getting mauled by our islands salt-enriched environment. Can you say oxidation?

This is why I hope they gonna do a better Automatic for the STi. No reason to do Automatic if it can't handle the power. But I doubt STi is gonna make a tradional gearbox if they can make carbon roof...
