Not sure if anyone else is watching this right now but there's a show on Discovery tonight (right now and later) about two car builds. A turbo Talon and a turbo Civic, one owned by a guy and the other owned by a girl, are being built and will race at the end I guess.

Not sure how good its gonna be.....

 

Looks decent so far. Funnt how the girl said "I want to work with you guys..." and the guy said "There's a vacuum in the corner."

Ouch! Thats just not right. She shoulda knocked his azz out for that comment.

 

Just tuned in. Pretty cool the awd gang just bump'd up tp 125 shoot NOS to to ricers 75 shot.

 

Edit. I was complaining about their speeds, but then realized it was a 1/8 mile strip. Wish they had taken those to 1/4 mile track. Curious what all that work would run...

The dude was all happy about beating a fwd civic in his awd and they up'd their power when they saw what she was putting into hers. Lame. Wish they had run what they originally planned to before spying on the competition.

 

^^^^ I agree. I wasn't too impressed. I guess I just expected more since the cars were sponsored, parts given, etc...

 

What was the show's name ? and what time....gotta set the DVR for next time.

I learned that by adding an extra cam you can get twice as much power.

 

its called "street racing: pedel to the metal." man the girl wanted to run her stock single over head cam at first. she did pretty uch screw up after she was posting her stuff on the net and said something at a car cruz. plus too i dont think they even practiced in the cars. they were talking about if the guy with the awd talon doesn't lauch it right he might blow the trans. and i think he almost hit the wall.

 

that b16 was the wrong choice for a 1/8 mile that thing dont come alive till 3rd gear
