thanks releasedakraken.....that does help answer things..but maybe it should be the title of the threads..all those rules that were made..cuz quite frankly, i aint got time to read all those pages for attn: noob....or i tell ya what..even better...whoever can edit those rules of the noob page..make this a rule..whenever u see some1 postin about street racing, quickly reply referring to the "rules" , just 1 post will probably do it so they'll know better..and see what happens from there..if they continue on..give em hell, if they catch the drift, let em be? cuz as it was said earlier..this is RIDICULOUS..and im seriously going to sleep..i fed enuff to the fire..g'night

wow this is a great thread. welcome to the club great first post

incase you didn't notice some times you need a flame suit for what you post.
i remember a few other members that started out in this style and got close to most of the people on the club.

you can look at it like this, if you come out to a meet... then everyone will know who you are easily.

since i bet everyone will beat the dead horse i'll warn you. skim the newb thread and remember the search function. in order to prevent future flaming.

enjoy the car and gas prices

Welcome to i-club nodnarb2785! Consider it a skin-thickening excercise, it has happened to most everybody, hey, we all got to start somewhere. When you do make it here to Oahu, attend some of the meats, go to the tracks, hang out at the shops and meet some of the great guyz in i-club...see you around.

in the defense of most of the people in HIIC that has responded to this post it states in your title "Street races" now to me a most others street races are automatically thought upon as the illegal kind. not to point it out but you did tell one guy about how you never mentioned anything about the illegal racing but yet you seem to point out all of the illegal areas....oh and i pulled this from your first post.
"how's the street races over in oahu?? i've heard some stories about peeps going all the way up to north shore for racing, tantalus, and all that stuff...but is the street racing a big scene on oahu???".....hmm all those places you listed are illegal areas to go racing at. not once did you mention hrp or even called hey lets go drag racing at hrp or autoxing. well i am not trying to be a ***** or anything just coming to the defense of others and myself and simply pointing out what you said and what certain terms could be translated as.

Seriously though and from my heart WELCOME TO HIIC!!! sorry to give you some crap but like mentioned before we as in HIIC have a good name and most of us will fight to keep it that way. ALOHA!

people shouldn't apologize, since we've never met you. That's not to say I hold a grudge, but jess (4080wrx) has put out good points. i have never met him either. just live and learn. most everyone has been yelled at, flamed, or gotten into internet thuggery of some sort, even in person. move on from here, hopefully for the better. it's great that yer pop is a cop, and i personally harbor no ill-will towards you, especially since we've never met. this forum has many great members, and it would be a shame if you came across indifferent and never got to meet any of us. But life's too short, and I ain't got the time. i'm saving the drama, that's why i took your thread O.T. anyways, chill out, and if you wanna meet us, check out thursday starbucks. it's posted. Flame on if you want, i'm done in this thread on this topic.
otherwise welcome aboard

I am not from HI, but here is my street racing story. We have a lot of people here who street race. We used to have an 1/8 mile track close that shut down about 4 years ago. The track was always packed, and closed for safety issues. The next closest track is 2 hours away. This left a void for all of the muscle guys and all of the "tuners". There is a pretty good stretch of old highway where people would go. I streetraced there 1 time, and was so afraid of getting arested or whatever i did terrible. I was so scared and nervous. It was not fun or thrilling at all. I used to be kind of a hell raiser when i was in HS, but now i have a good job, a wife, and just too many other resposibilities. Not to mention someone getting hurt or dieing. I still go out there now and then to watch, but i stay very far away. I like going to the track, it is where i race now. Recently cops have been cracking down on this spot, in the last 4 months 7 people have been jailed, and many others given citations. Luckily no one has been hurt or killed.

Just some of my experience. Not really related to this guy, but just keep it at the track. It is a lot more fun.

let me try ending this....I did come on mentioning street races, which i quickly learned is KAPU!!! with no means at all did i want to offend anyone...honestly i didn't know what kind of reply i'd get...i didn't think to even read the "noob" forum, being quite oblivious to it...it was suppose to be a friendly postin to maybe get to know some of u..like i said i like this subbie group you all got going on here, and i reiterate i didn't not want to offend anyone! or for that matter get my head chewed off....but i think it's fair enough to say i got flamed for my "mistake" and i WILL meet you all on the track! muahahahha...FYI, i read something about starbucks at thursday?? which one? I will be coming up at the end of november, and again for hot import nights...although my car will be on big island, i wouldn't mind checking u guys out....

Hey, man it's all good. Just a simple miscommunication I guess. Well, at least we know where we all stand. About the Thursday meets, just look for my weekly post as to where it will be held for that particular week. We're always looking forward to meeting new Subie owners. Take care up on the Big rock
